When you have nothing better to do, think about doing the following:
1. Find the name of a professional journal in your field that publishes reports of experimental research;
2. Go to the internet or the library and locate the journal;
3. Find a recent issue of the journal – be it on line or in the library – and locate an article in it that interests you and that you can understand;
4. Examine the article in terms of its general format and decide whether it differs from the standard IMRAD format . If so, how?Please note: this is not a complusory activity. It would be good however if a few of you could share what you found with the rest of the class.
